John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has touched a lot of people with his songs. Many of these are based on Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell in New Mexico. He fell in love with Colorado and moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems inspired numerous people to go to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame stated the following: John Denver was by far one of the most popular artists who represented Colorado. Denver was the first Hall of Fame ever inductee. Denver has been the symbol of the state to people all over. In all my travels I've encountered many non-Colorado residents. Colorado. People will say, "Oh John Denver!" whenever they learn that you come from Colorado. Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's first Top 10 Hit as a Solo Artist after working within small Folk Music groups. The song was written with Bill Danoff. Danoff originally wrote it with Johnny Cash's music in mind, but Denver knew from the first time he heard first versions of the song that it would be a big hit. He recorded it just a few days following performing in Washington D.C. before an audience that was very enthusiastic.
